One popular type of constructions heaters is units that are designed more portable (portable units). They are the most dominant type of construction heaters that you can find in the marketplaces at these days. As the name suggests, they are designed to be moved easier from one position to another position. Furthermore, we don’t have to pay for the installation costs on paying a professional installer, because they can be installed relatively easier and practical enough for DIY option.

As well we know, today we can find a lot of products of portable construction heaters. Therefore, you may be confused by this situation on determining the right one that you should choose. Well, there are top 3 questions on choosing and buying the best one of portable construction heaters.

What is the right powered-fuel that you should choose?

You may find several choices, and some top choices are propane, natural gas, kerosene, and even electricity.  If in your local area is available for natural gas pipeline transmission, then it is much better to choose natural gas powered unit, because you will never run out of the fuel and you will get slightly lower heating costs (especially if you compare to kerosene or electricity, but this is also dependent to the fuel prices in your local area).

If you choose to use combustion units (units powered by kerosene, propane or natural gas) for indoor areas; then make sure they are well vented to direct the bad byproducts of combustion chemical process (especially for CO2 and CO) to the outside.

In addition, you can also find the ones that come with multi-fuel design; it can be diesel-kerosene or propane-natural gas!

What is the right type?

Like the options for the fuel, there are also several types to choose from! But mostly they come with convection heating system and air-forced heating system.

Air-forced models usually use a powerful fan to push the cold air and direct it through the flame. Therefore, there are some reviews say that this kind of portable constructions heater work not too noiseless when running.

Convection models are typically designed with the working convection principle. They may have steam coils and use the natural ventilation! And if compared to air-forced systems, they are relatively more noiseless in operation.

What is the correct size that you should choose?

For the size, like other regular heating appliances that you might be familiar, generally portable construction heaters are also rated by BTUs (British Thermal Units). There are a wide range of sizes to choose from, and therefore you may be confused on calculating the right size that you have to choose.

The BTUs size of the unit that you should choose is closely associated to the large sq-ft size of the area that will be heated. Therefore, you need to measure first your square-feet area before determining which right one of the heating output BTUs sizes of the heater, because each BTUs size is purposed to heat a certain sq-ft area.

In addition, calculating the size is very crucial. It is basic procedure that can give a significant contribution to the efficiency operation of your construction heater.
