Basically, they convert the heat energy from the ground. They are categorized into the radiant floor heating systems. The underground piping under the floor that contain water will be heated that finally will increase the temperature level of the room. They can make warm your body without need to heat all air in the room. They only heat the bottom air in the room and therefore they can work efficiently and effectively.

The ground source heat pumps can be combined with radiators not too difficultly. The installation that through pipes into the ground is complicated and it cannot be finished easily with DIY option. And it means you must contact and hire a professional heating contractor to ensure the properly installation (pay extra cost). This is single drawback of them. But the high cost for the installation is smart investment to save your money in the long term.

#Green solar heating systems

Solar panels heaters that have function to convert the sun energy to heat energy are used in these systems. Then the heat energy is utilized to heat the cylinder water. The problem is during the winter season the system cannot found and catch the sunlight energy optimally. Therefore, immersion heater or boiler is required as back up. In addition, there are available two popular types of them that are (1) evacuated solar heating panels and (2) flat solar heating panels.

#Air source heat pumps

They similar like ground source heat pumps but they get the energy from the outside air. This mechanism is their characteristic and become the major reason why they call as air source heat pump. The pump is designed as well that can work either as compressor or as refrigerator. Overall, they can be used for residential use and commercial purposes. They are really multifunction system that not only capable to work as space heating system but also as hot water heater at not-high cost (just need the electricity around 25 percent to 30 percent to operate them). In addition, they also can be operated in conjunction with other green house heating technology such as solar panel.
