The wicks will be hardened over time!

They can be hardened in long run and this process can be faster if you adjust the height improperly that can cause improperly gasified. The other factor that can speed up this process is the bad quality of the kerosene fuel. Bad kerosene usually has more water contained and even will result too bad kerosene odor. On the other hand, good quality of kerosene usually has lower volume of water and almost odorless.

Hardening process of the wicks is usually a result of carbons collecting & unburnt tars (resulting crusting on the wick’s surface).

Some people say that sometimes choosing the best one of wicks to meet to our specification kerosene heater wicks is not easy.
