The heat energy can travel from one location to another location with three ways; convection, conduction and radiation. Let’s concern to the last type! As well we know that there are a lot of heating appliances that use radiant heat principle, either to heat outdoor areas or indoor areas. Historically, there are some experts who have opinion that radiant heat technology had been used in the ancient civilization of China and Roman Empire. In ancient times, traditional radiant heating application is the emitting radiant heat through some warm elements, such as wall, floor, and overhead panel. Then by heat the air directly, all people around feel better of a warm condition temperature.

Based on the performance to heat the air quickly or not, radiant heating technology is better than convection heating. Today, we can find a lot of heating systems that use radiant heat principle, some of them are fired radiant heat technology, hydronic floor heating, electric under floor heating), radiant ceiling appliances, infrared heaters, portable space heaters, and so on. For outdoor use, the directly heating is also so beneficial. It will be so helpful to heat the objects directly without needing to heat the surrounding air first. Without radiant heating principle (directly heating principle), it is too hard to warm up the outdoor area, like patio because will be required a huge energy to warm up the entire air in the patio.

To encourage the efficiency, it is better to also install the insulation in your house. There are some people who have opinion that using the radiant heat technology is always will be more efficient. This statement is not always true, particularly if the design of the house is not match to radiant heat demand. So consider carefully the size BTUs output of the radiant heater that you want to choose and install also the insulation system if necessary.

As like mentioned before, radiant floor heating system is one of popular choices of integrated radiant system to warm up the entire house in the winter. It offers more comfortable performance, more efficient in energy use and also will be good investment in long term. Although there are some reviews on internet say that the installation can finished on your own, but it is much better to hire a qualified installer to make sure the system is installed properly. Below are pieces of helpful information for the installation:

You should do to training yourself. This idea will help you to learn more about how to make the system work properly at its efficiency performance and also be helpful for you to know lot of more about radiant heat technology.

Then the next step that you should do is to find and choose the right qualified installer. The qualified installer will help to ensure all mechanical components are installed as well so thus the system can work properly.
